Caren Lewis

Caren Lewis qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2002 from City University, London. Caren spent sixteen years working for three different London NHS Trusts. She now works full time in private practice splitting her time between working with individuals and families in clinic, and providing tailored services to a number of schools in London and Essex.
Caren has a specialist interest in working with children and adults who stammer. Caren also has an interest in working with children who have speech pronunciation difficulties, delayed or disordered language development, and pre-schoolers with Autistic Spectrum Disorder or Social Communication difficulties. Caren has completed a range of post-qualification specialist training courses so that she can offer the most up-to-date and appropriate therapy services.
Karen Powell
BSc (Hons), PGDip, MRCSLT, MASLTIP
Karen Powell qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2004 from City University, London. Karen worked for the NHS for over fifteen years, and she now works only in private practice principally providing training for schools and nurseries.
Karen has specialist knowledge and experience in supporting children and adults who stammer, children who have language delay or disorder, and children and teenagers who have Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. Karen is also an honorary lecturer at City University, London.
Caren Lewis and Karen Powell are both trained in Lidcombe Therapy, Palin Parent Child Interaction Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.
Caren Lewis is certified by Hanen to run ‘More Than Words’ parent workshops for parents of children who have Social Communication difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
Karen Powell is certified by Elklan to run Elklan's Speech and Language Therapy training sessions for teachers and Learning Support Assistants. Karen Powell is also qualified to run Relax kids programs.
